Provide Technical Support to Line Units
During the period the 8SBn assisted the personnel of SGPA and HB Comm Inc in the enhancement of Harris Radio to different units of the Division. The unit upgraded eighty six (86) RF 5800H-MP, one hundred twenty five (125) RF 5800V-HH and sixteen (16) KDUs of three (3) Infantry Brigades, seven (7) Infantry Battalions and three (3) Recon Companies. In addition, the unit conducted sane activity in the Hqs along with 8DTU, 52nd (C)Bn, 8MIB,2SFBn,3SRC, 53EBDE as well as in Central Command (CENTCOM), wherein a total of twenty one (21) RF 5800H-MP,six (6) RF 5800V-HH and two (KDUs) were upgraded. Moreover, the unit conducted repair and upgraded nine (9) Computers of 87IB in response to their letter request dated 14 September 2010.
To maintain the operational serviceability of Harris radios, during the period, the unit also conducted lectures on installation, operation and preventive maintained of Harris radios to 63IB, 20IB, 87IB, 801BDE, 78IB, 2SFBn and 19IB from 07-23 July 2010; and lectured on Signal Communication during the conduct of Pre Deployment Training of 87IB in Brgy Erenas, San Jorge, Samar last 26-29 July 2010. Likewise, lecture on Radio Operation was conducted to the students of PACSC class 05-10 and JWMOC Class 02-10 at H801Bde on 03 August 2010 and 01 September 2010 respectively.

Public Address System (PAS)
For the enhancement of Public Address System, the unit initiated the acquisition of four (4) microphones and four (4) microphones stands for 8ID Grandstand and Mobile Public Address System for use during Command directed activities. In addition, the unit repaired two (2) speaker, two (2) tweeters, two (2) base amplifiers, repaired and repainted fourteen (14) boxes of loud speakers. As such, the unit can readily cover the activity of the Command with high performance of the unit's Public Address System.
